MATCHPOINT TENNIS
We teach Serious Tennis to Serious Players
MATCHPOINT TENNIS was founded by Coach James in 1995 to teach tennis to players of all ages and ability.
"I first ascertain what motivates each individual athlete. Through strengthening a person physically, I believe they can also be strengthened mentally. I will work on an athlete's strengths, but focus even more on their weaknesses, as that's where there is the most room for improvement. Workouts are sports-specific and intense. The training is such that anything they could face on game day couldn't be any more challenging than what they have been through in training. Thus the body and mind adapt and respond appropriately at the crucial moments."

Pain on the outside bump of the elbow is called lateral epicondylitis, which is more commonly known as tennis elbow. It has numerous causes, one of which is playing tennis. In these instances, it’s typically the forces during the backhand swing combined with a stiff, light (less than 10 oz.) and head-heavy racquet that leads to problems of tennis elbow.
